Biography

Born on the beautiful island of Barbados, Kirk Brown is one of the brightest stars on the Caribbean’s musical horizon. He is an award-winning singer, music producer, deejay, model and businessman. With musical and vocal training throughout his youth, Kirk Brown began his performing career in early 2004 as the vocalist for several local bands including “4 D People” & “Blaze”. True to his dynamic personality and passion, Kirk founded his own band – Strategy The Energy Band – shortly thereafter in November of 2004. With Brown at the helm, Strategy quickly became one of the youngest and hottest Caribbean live bands making tremendous strides globally, with tours and performances spanning from the Caribbean Islands to the United Kingdom.

In 2006, Brown established a multifaceted entertainment company created to develop and promote Barbadian artistes, live acts & recorded works globally. While claiming his stake in today’s music industry, Kirk Brown is also a well accomplished model and entrepreneur. In October 2009, Brown modeled alongside America’s Next Top Model Cycle 11 winner, Mckey Sullivan, at ACF Fashion Weekend in Barbados and had the honor of being featured in the only magazine spread with her. He has also participated in a local reality show and has played major roles in several local theater productions as an aspiring actor.

As a solo artiste, Brown’s career has been unstoppable. He has shared the stage with major international stars including Ne-Yo, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Rihanna, Trey Songz, Gyptian, J Cole, Beenie Man, Maxi Priest, Tessane & Tami Chin, Baby Cham, T.O.K and hosted the 2011 Barbados Music Awards with Vivica Fox. He has been nominated for several Barbados Music Awards since its inception in 2006 and despite being nominated against more internationally known acts, Kirk has won Music Video of the year (Male) for two consecutive years in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 he also won the Award of Excellence in Entertainment at the Barbados Tourism Awards and in 2008 he was awarded third place in the Barbados National HIV/AIDS Song Competition.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kirk Brown never ceases to produce original music and his most recent collaborations include “Take Your Time” feat. Vybz Kartel & produced by JonFx of the “Hold Ya” - Gyptian fame; "Dutty Wine” feat. Fat Man Scoop; "Wine Like Dat" feat. Lil Rick & produced by Dwaingerous - musical director of the Machel Montano HD band; "Midnight Lover" with Jeri-Marie (niece of Sting from the Police) and his latest release Luv Ya Bad (Lost Angel Riddim) is already blazing up the charts.

Having won awards regionally and achieved recognition as an artist with mass appeal, Barbadian born Kirk Brown has only just begun his very promising career with his sights set on the international world of entertainment.

'All the world's a stage' and Kirk Brown fully intends to perform on it.
